"Tureen"
The piece was thrown on the wheel in Cone 6 buff stoneware. The handles were cut out of a slab, and carved. The decoration was handbuilt, sculpted and applied.
The glazes are all cone 6 fired in oxidation. The sculpted and applied decoration was glazed by brush, waxed, and then the piece was dipped in glaze. The lid was fired in place.
