Cyber-Space CERAMICS COMPETITION


Theme 2001 : "A piece for a Japanese garden"

RULES
  • One submission per entrant & one chance to take part in the judging by each entrant.
  • Only those entering work will earn the right to vote for their favourite pieces.
  • Prizes will be awarded to the pieces with the most votes.
  • All the work will be exhibited on the internet for a full year and exhibitors can sell their work at any time. (POTFEST takes no commission )
  • There are no size restrictions as the entry will mainly be displayed in cyberspace.
  • This is a potter's competition so although other materials can be added the piece must be essentially ceramic.
  • Entry closes on July 1st 2001 to allow time for voting.
  • All the images submitted will be printed out and exhibited at the Penrith Potfest in August. The Competition results will be announced there and will be posted on the internet shortly after.
Emailed images should be submitted in jpeg format - Try not to exceed 600 pixels dimension.

If you don't have access to computer facilities then post good quality photographs or slides to:-
Chris Cox, Stoddahgate Barn, Penruddock, Penrith, CA11 0RY, Cumbria, UK along with a SAE for their return.

Images should be acompanied by the following information:-
  • Your Name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Short technical description - type of clay, method of building, temperature and method of firing, details of glazing techniques etc.
  • Price (if for sale) - This should be the price from your studio. Potential customers will deal directly with the potter to negotiate shipping costs, import tax, etc . There will be no commission charge by Potfest on any sales made.

The potter must notify Potfest when a piece has been sold so it can be marked as such on the website.
