Online Selling Exhibition of Contemporary Tea bowls
and drinking vessels by Christine Cox.

In Japanese tradition, time spent admiring the drinking vessel used in the Tea Ceremony is an essential part of the ritual.

It's unique character, how it fits the hand, are aids to the contemplative aspect of the occasion. Sometimes the vessel is given a name to reflect its own special qualities........ Spring Snow, Evening Forest, Winter Smoke ....... in this way it becomes an intrinsic part of the theatre of the ceremony.

In this exhibition, each piece is unique, an exploration in texture and surface quality........ What would you call yours?

Sorry, but the exhibition of teabowls is currently unavailable.
