Another brilliant year at Hutton-in-the-Forest, with 103 potters showing their work in marquees on the land in front of the house and lawns.
This year’s competition theme was ” Birdbath – Flight of Fancy”, and once again the potters rose to the challenge and produced some wonderful, quirky designs.
The Potfest Prize of a free stand at next year’s event went to Wayne Clark from Denbighshire. His competition pieces are always unlike his usual work and this year’s entry”Thirst”was no exception. The work on his stand is constantly evolving, and recently Wayne has been involved in the development of a new potters festival in Wales. So well done Wayne.
Potters vote on the competition after the show on Friday and this year their peers prize went to Paul Smith for “Leap of Faith”. This piece was also the Public’s Favourite on Sunday.
The Public vote of Friday went to David Wright’s “Tit Stop – Splash and Brush-Up”
and Saturday’s Public Vote was for Julian Jardine’s “Sea Bird Bath”
