 The inspiration for my work is landscape and geology, which causes me to explore ideas and techniques to express the wonderful colours, textures and strata which I enjoy and photograph whilst walking the fells in Cumbria and the North pennines.

The pieces I make are mainly press moulded using a specially formulated stoneware body containing coloured stain to achieve a subtle range of colour. Texture is developed using fabrics and plant material to create landscape imagery.

My work is mainly available through our own gallery in Alston, which I run with my husband Ray, also a potter, and other outlets in Cumbria.
