2008 List of Exhibitors, and gallery of their work

An interactive potters' market showing the work of up to 150 potters. The event is the oldest potters' market in the UK, and is held under permanent cover at Skirsgill Auction Mart, Penrith - 100 yds west of junction 40 off the M6, on the edge of Britain's beautiful Lake District. 000000Map to venue
This is an open event and as such has a special dynamism with potters of international reputation exhibiting alongside recently graduated students. The result is an exciting mix of the sophisticated, the well established and the raw power of the next generation.

The interaction between potters and public is an important part of this event. As well as giving demonstrations the potters will offer free hour long classes for adults to encourage them to take their first steps in clay.

Get inspired, get involved and be prepared for visual overload.

Please help us spread the word - download the Pens poster - and display it where friends might see it.

Every year a competition sponsored by the "Craftsman" magazine is held in the Pens.
It is hoped that all the exhibitors will make a special piece to be shown there.
*This year's theme is " Clayopolis...ceramic city."
